8 Days Tangier To Marrakech Desert Tours

DAY 1: TANGER – CHEFCHAOUEN

In the morning your driver will pick up you from your hotel and we can start the 10 Days Imperial Cities Desert Tour From Tangier.  departure to Chefchaouen, a town founded as a secret mysterious place from which to attack the Portuguese installed on the north coast. Was totally banned from entering the village to Europeans until the arrival of the Spanish troops in 1920. Arrival in Chefchaouen and afternoon to have a first contact with the city. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – FEZ

After breakfast, we will drive to the imperial city of Fez, which is one of the most popular destinations in Morocco. Being a religious and spiritual city, it is considered the cultural capital of the country. We will reach Fez in the early evening, which would allow you to catch a glimpse of this magnificent city, from the top of the hill.

DAY 3: EXPLORE FEZ

we start our day after breakfast at the Riad. and after it is time to explore the cultural and historical sites of the city.

In Fez, we will explore:

⦁    The Royal Palace which contains seven gates. the Royale palace is considered an astonishing model of modern restoration.

⦁    University Al Karaouine. To the record, this university is the first established university in the world according to Guinness record, UNESCO, and many other scholars.

⦁    The Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II  (where the Moulay Idriss II ‘s tomb exists), Nejjarine Fountains, and  Tanneries which were built in the 17th century are one of Fez’s fascinating insights. One of the famous Tennaries in Fez is Chouara Tannery.

⦁    Experiencing the beautiful panoramic view over the whole Medina (city) of Fez.

DAY 4: FEZ – IFRAN – AZROU – MIDELT – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA

Departure heading south to Azrou via the city of Ifrane and then to the Middle Atlas mountains stopping by cedar forest, you will be able to take some fascinating photos with the Barbarian Apes, the drive continue through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscapes of Midelt, After lunch, we’ll continue our journey through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani and Merzouga. On our arrival, there will be welcomed by a cup of tea. Overnight at the Hotel/Riad.

DAY 5:  ERG CHEBBI DUNES –  TODRA GORGE – OUARZAZATE

In the morning we recommend you to wake up before the sunrise, you will be able to catch a breathtaking sunrise over the desert dunes. We will then return to have breakfast, riding on the back of camels again, to continue traveling to our next destination. We will drive by the city of Rissani, where we will make a stop at the largest traditional souk market in the area. This is the market where thousands of people from all around the south come to shop for their weekly provisions. We will then drive to our next location: the city of Ouarzazate. Along the way, we will drive by the beautiful Todra gorges, the Dades valley, the Roses valley, and the palm groves of the Skoura oasis. Once we arrive at Ouarzazate, we will have dinner and spend the night there.

 

DAY 6: OUARZAZATE – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH

The Kasbah of Ben Haddou (one of the last Berber chieftains during the 18th built by Et Hami El Glaoui). It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site composed of kasbahs (forts). It is one of the most important fortresses on the old Salt Road caravan route. You can explore the lanes where traders once brought their gold, ivory, salt, and slaves on the journey from Sub-Saharan Africa to Marrakech and beyond. Tizin’Tichka which is (2260) over the High Atlan Mountains. Tizin’Tichka is one of the famous mountains in Morocco. When you, finally, arrive at your destination ( Marrakech city), you will check in a Riad in the Medina by overnight.

DAY 7: EXPLORE MARRAKECH

After breakfast at your accommodation, you will meet your guide at your riad/hotel and start the exploration of the red city, Marrakech. This city is home to Jamaa´ El Fna, the busiest and biggest square in North Africa that holds many traditional artisanal sellers and merchants. Marrakech has many other jewels to offer, that you will, of course, get to visit, such as the Majorelle and the Menara gardensthe Saadian tombsthe Bahia Palacethe Koutoubia Minaret and any more. Finally, you will have dinner and spend the night in Marrakech.

DAY 8: MARRAKECH AIRPORT TRANSFER

Departure to Tangier and transfer to the airport or ferry terminal and end of our services
